Unique framed painting on canvas by French artist Johanna Van Daalen. Based between Belgium and the Carpathians in Romania, Johanna trained in furniture design in the UK. She has worked as a product designer and a florist before dedicating herself fully to painting and visual arts. Johanna explores both figurative and abstract approaches in her practice.

Her native Pyrenees, the Carpathian mountains, humble objects, everyday life encounters, potagers and gardens, are all source of inspiration for her work. Johanna celebrates beauty in its simplest form, whether drowned from a moment, a landscape, a plant or even a piece of cloth. She works colours by layers and uses their transparency qualities to create nuances and textures.
